Lone Catalysts - The Prequel '94-'96 (2015)
At the request of our readers .
The August release of Dope Folks' 72nd release is from Ohio's Lone Catalysts, the crew that J. Rawls and J. Sands formed while attending college in the mid 90's. These "demos" were recorded between '94-'96 and cleaned up and remastered for this 6 song banger - all songs are previously unreleased. The track "All Time Great" also features an early appearance by Anticon's legendary underground MC Dose One!

i'm sure a lot of you already heard of a group called darc mind which consists of the producer x-ray (monster island czars) and emcee kev roc. but before they released their record on loud records (outside looking in), they were in a group called legion of d.u.m.e. who put out this 12" in '94.

Stezo - Unreleased & Rarities
All songs were recorded between 1989-1996 and taken straight from Stezo's vaults. The tracks "Police Story", "Here To School Ya" and "I Have A Dream" were from his 2nd album set for Sleeping Bag Records in 1990 until the project was shelved. The other tracks are from the sought after "Where's The Funk At" 12" and features K-Solo! Also included is a remix from DJ Funkdat of "Where's The Funk At" that has never been released on wax!

Publik Anounsa - The Lost Demos (1990-1993) (2013)

Our friends at Dope Folks first heard about Publik Anounsa from their 1995 Debut 12 inch "Comin From Crooklyn Jointz" and then the 1997 release "Deep Concentration". After speaking with producer Backspin Da Vibe Chemist they found out that P.A. had 7 unreleased demo tracks from 1990-93, so here they are: 7 tracks in all with that classic early 90's sound - the demos are raw and from the original tapes!

From Amityville, Long island New York... RHYME VALORE with production by the legendary DJ STITCHES!!! DJ STITCHES has worked with a ton of MC's and producers such as Rakim, Prince Paul, and even helped form De La Soul. He started working with RHYME VALORE in 1992 and recorded the material on the album from 92-'94. It wasn't until three years later in 1997 that THESE ARE THE DAYZ and TOP EMCEE came out. The rest of the tracks on "ANOTHER SLEEPLESS NIGHT" are all previously unreleased. RHYME VALORE went on to become a part of HORROR CITY and work with PRINCE PAUL. The "ANOTHER SLEEPLESS NIGHT" EP
